Express Virtual Care

One of the many important lessons stressed by GOTR is that regular exercise is part of living a healthy lifestyle. As much as your child and family work to continue the healthy lifestyle lessons learned this fall, we all have times when illness descends on our household, particularly as the weather turns crisper and colder, and we spend more time indoors.

Often when a child feels ill, dragging them out to a clinic for an appointment is the last thing both the parent and the child feel like doing. While reaching out to your established family medicine provider or pediatrician is ideal, SSM Health’s Express Virtual Care may be a quick and convenient option to consider, allowing you to interact with a provider about your child’s symptoms, especially if they do have a cough or fever, as well as other cold or flu symptoms.

Express Virtual Care is affordable and open to everyone, whether an SSM Health patient or not, and you can choose from one of two online health care options to access care. The E-visit allows you to fill out a short online questionnaire and interact with a provider via email. The Video Visit option allows you to connect with a provider via video conference. You can do either from 6 AM to 11 PM, seven days a week, for a variety of minor common conditions. You can share symptoms, send photos if needed and receive a quick diagnosis and prescription, if needed, routed to your pharmacy of choice — all from the comfort your home.
